Outside of the Bonterra-Osisko Mining (now Gold Fields) JV, Bonterra has a 70-100% ownership of the Desmaraisville project, which in total encompasses 25,700 hectares of regional land roughly 100 km North of the Phoenix JV. This project contains the presence of two major regional deformation corridors, which host several past gold-producing mines.
The company has performed compilation and interpretation work to generate prospective drill targets, and is drilling out the project, where only 10% of historical exploration was focused.
In addition to the Desmaraisville project, Bonterra also owns 100% of Bachelor Mill Complex. The mill has had over C$100 million spent on it and is a key strategic asset for future mining operations in the camp. The complex has 350K ozs Au of historical production at the Bachelor mine, with additional historic zinc-lead-silver production from the Coniagas mine. The Bachelor mill is a fully-operational 800 tpd mill on hydroelectric grid power with permitting underway with potential for expansion to 1,800 tpd. The complex also has an assay lab capable of handling ~6,000 assays per month, three camps, two main roads, and several core shacks. Bonterra has an active mining lease with permits to extract up to 2M tonnes of ore.
