Overview

Bonterra’s projects are located in the Urban-Barry Camp, which is in the Northeast portion of the Abitibi Greenstone Belt and is the newest emerging gold camp in the region. The camp remains underexplored, yet is comparable to some of Canada’s most prolific mining camps, including Val’d’Or, which has produced over 200M ozs Au to date.

Since 2000, the Urban-Barry Camp has seen the discovery of 10M ozs Au, with over C$100 million committed to exploration expenditures over the next seven years. The camp is connected to key infrastructure and benefits from hydroelectric power. Bonterra’s projects are located in the heart of the camp and the company owns several strategic assets, including the Bachelor Mill Complex, which is the only operational mill with tailings management area capacity in the Urban-Barry Camp.

Bonterra’s project areas contain three main deposits, Gladiator, Barry, and Desmaraisville, containing over 3M ozs Au across all categories.

Most of the gold ounces are contained in the Gladiator and Barry deposits, which are part of the Bonterra-Osisko Mining (now Gold Fields) JV.
